One Million Snakebites

One Million Snakebites

BBC Natural World 2010 - a 60-minute film produced and directed by Robin Smith for Icon Films

During New York born, ex-pat Romulus Whitaker's more than forty-year love affair with India's legless lizards, he has become increasingly aware of a rise in snake-related deaths. These fatalities, Rom has long suspected, are far in excess of the official figures.

The music combines Blues slide guitar and Indian sarod played by sarod genius Soumik Datta.
